Hello Dear Friends

Copyright 2017 by R.A. Robbins

We are here today to ask for your input as we look ahead into 2020 preparing content for Espirational.  You may know that we schedule ahead.  We also like to build each month around a theme to assist with putting together quotations, photos, videos, links and our own thoughts.

Looking ahead, in November we will be talking about Joy.  This year for December we are going to be doing something different as we study the life and teachings of Jesus.  We hope you will join us for this enlightening, encouraging and challenging study.  Then in January, the traditional time of resolutions and change, we will be looking at the true beauty that is in all of us, just the way we are.

So that brings us to February where we need your help.  In the past, we have relied on the seasons and holidays to guide blog content but that has gotten old, at least for us.   February  around here has traditionally been either love or heart health month.  This year I want to do something different.  Do you have any ideas?  What would you like to read, think and talk about in February?  Please leave your ideas in the comments and let’s talk.

Finally we want you, our readers and followers to know how much we appreciate the time and attention you give to Espirational.  Your “likes” and comments mean so much to us and help us keep going.  Blessings to you all.  — Genie and Bob

Do Not Forget to Play

Do not forget to play in life

and really enjoy it.”

I believe that creating art is about play and having fun.

Today’s art is “Over the Mountains, Across the Plains, to Grandma’s House We Go.”  This is a playful piece depicting a family’s adventures of driving cross country to visit Grandma in Florida for Christmas — and her response to their being late.  It is available for sale in the Espirational Gallery.

Seriousness is too boring

“Seriousness is too boring to the playful human condition.

A heart of stone that has a long face can never express love.”

Be Grateful

“Most of us never stop to consider our blessings;

rather,

we spend the day only thinking about our problems.

But since you have to be alive to have problems,

be grateful for the opportunity to have them. “

This is my Choice

Copyright 2017 by R.A. Robbins

“I truly believe we can either see the connections, celebrate them, and express gratitude for our blessings, or we can see life as a string of coincidences that have no meaning or connection.
For me, I’m going to believe in miracles, celebrate life, rejoice in the views of eternity and hope my choices will create a positive ripple effect in the lives of others. This is my choice.”
― Mike Ericksen, Upon Destiny’s Song

God Pretending

“First the energy of God descends upon the Earth, then it pretends whatever it wants to be, then it ascends back to its source. You are God pretending to be whatever you are right now. Do you understand what this means? You have allowed yourself to descend, but by pretending to be less than what you are, you have not ascended back God.”—Thomas (Indigo Child)

God Hallows the Ordinary

“For Christians, every place they walk is, in a sense, holy ground.  We lose sight of the preciousness of our daily steps, that God hallows the ordinary that’s committed to Him.  Tourist who have visited Israel and have seen the places where Jesus walked often experience a sense of awe at being where Jesus was when He walked on earth.  Yet He lives today, and He still walks on earth–in our shoes.  Look around you, and see the holy ground on which you walk.” — Nick Harrison

Thoughts of Unity

“If we are serious about dreaming our awakening into being and creating a peaceful, loving earth in which the heart, spirit and soul are the only true leaders, we must continue to keep our focus on thoughts of unity and all that truly brings us together.”
― Diane Hall
