“It is neither good nor bad, but thinking makes it so.”
– William Shakespeare
“Just smiling goes a long way toward making you feel better about life. And when you feel better about life, your life is better. With an optimistic, positive attitude toward life, the possibilities for your second prime are tremendous.”
– Art Linkletter, who died May 26, 2010 at the age of 97, expressed these thoughts on smiling, positive attitude and a second prime when he was 94.
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.” — Buddha
The universe does indeed have many gifts for us if we will only pay attention.

“Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.”-– Mahatma Gandhi

Yes, Bob and I did watch the lunar eclipse last week. I hadn’t planned on writing about it because I didn’t take a lot of photos, but changed my mind.
Our decision to watch was rather last minute. Bob had planned on following the coverage on NASA TV at http://www.nasa.gov. I had never seen an eclipse before so I went outside. Bob decided to stay outside to be with me and we had a lovely evening sitting in our lawn chairs in our yard talking, watching the sky, meditating and eating soup. A neighbor invited me across the street to see the view from her porch and look at her photos. We had a nice little visit. Others were watching from various locations in the park and we had something to talk about the next day.
Sometimes the big things in life aren’t about being perfect — the perfect location, the perfect photos. Sometimes it is all about the experience. Being in the moment and recognizing God in the event.

“Life is meaningless only if we allow it to be. Each of us has the power to give life meaning, to make our time and our bodies and our words into instruments of love and hope.”– Tom Head
