You can change direction

“You can change direction if you feel like you have missed your way… Decide to do that now! Go back a little more and begin from where you missed it out! If only you are ready to rise again, you can make a right decision in that tight belly of the shark. Jonah did that earlier!”

Choosing whether we’ll let anger turn to rage

“We couldn’t help getting angry when we were hurt; we had no choice in the matter. We can, however, make a decision about whether we’ll allow that anger to turn into rage.”Brian Jones, Forgivenes

Two Roads Diverged

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Today’s quote is from the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.  I encourage you to read the poem in it’s entirety and take a few minutes to reflect on what these words mean to you.  Is there a road less traveled in your life that has made all the difference for you?

How Could Anyone Ever Tell You…

“How could anyone ever tell you, you are anything less than beautiful” are the beginning words of a song written by Libby Roderick for a friend who was having a hard time.  At that time she did not imagine herself as a professional musician and never imagined this song taking on a life of it’s own.  But that is exactly what this song has done.

This is a song that makes grown women cry, but it is also a song that is being used to heal and empower both women and men around the world.  I chose this particular video because it shows Libby and an audience with grandmas, young women, little girls and male allies singing in beautiful harmony.
