Loving our Mother Earth

When Bob and I first moved to our current home eight years ago, this was a beautiful place. A wooded lakeside community we have watched slowly being destroyed by people who want perfectly manicured lawns without the inconvenience of trees and wildlife. We will pay for these actions which we are already beginning to see with increased summer heat without the shade of trees, many of which have already been removed.

If we continue to live as if this earth is ours to do with what we will there will be serious consequences. God is our father and the Earth is our mother, don’t you think it’s time to show her a little love? To get us thinking in this direction this month our focus will be on the earth.
