  1. My favorite reminder that there is always hope is a tree stump with new growth coming up in the middle that I see every day when I walk up the hill to get the mail. The tree was lost in a severe storm that damaged and destroyed homes and trees in 2019. That tree has become a symbol of hope during the recovery process for many of our community members. It was one of many that fell across the roads making assistance and clean up efforts so difficult because no vehicles could get in or out. Now it is our symbol of hope.
