In the creation story in Genesis God shapes human bodies from the dust of the earth and breathes life into them. Literally or figuratively, doesn’t this tell us that God is our Father the earth is our Mother?
Over the years I have found myself becoming more in tune with the rhythm of the seasons. The call of autumn to prepare for winter is becoming increasingly strong. Winter is my most creative time. When the weather drives me indoors the inspiration for writing and creating art becomes very strong.
We must pay attention to these things. We are meant to live in harmony with the earth, not control it, use it for our personal gain and then discard it. If we destroy the earth we also destroy ourselves.
Our mother earth speaks to us. It’s up to us to listen.

If only every person thought like this. The world would be a Garden of Eden. In the end we all turn into our mother. :o)

Great post! The photo reminded me of a deer and her fawn I saw this weekend. The mother went up the bank away from the road and the fawn went across the road to the other side. Definitely didn’t listen to his mother!

The deer in that photo crossed right in front of us. Mom was getting a little impatient with them. Haven’t seen any deer here yet.

Be thankful! They eat everything. Almost like goats!
