I believe the Hymn of Promise is one of the most beautiful, simple, yet theologically correct hymns of our time. Written by Natalie Sleeth as a choir anthem, a hymn version is included in the United Methodist Hymnal. Although not normally thought of as an Easter hymn I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate.
The Lord is risen! Life wins! The end is just the beginning! Hallelujah! AMEN! And so it is.
