Don’t you get tired of hearing people claim everything they own and have accomplished is their own doing with no help from anyone? It does take a village to raise a child and to keep adults on track. Bonnie Estes was part of the village that raised me.
Miss Estes was my grade school principal. She lived across the street from the school and took great pride not only in “her school,” but also in “her kids.” While I guess you would call Miss Estes “strict” by today’s standards she was also kind. She kept track of us long after graduation and took pride in our accomplishments.
Why do I remember Miss Estes who passed on long ago? She taught me one woman can make a difference, and I will never forget.
Thanks to all the Miss Estes’ in our lives. Where would be without them.
Great post.

Thank you! There have been so many special people in my life it was hard to choose just one. I think this type of post may show up from time to time.

I’m sure those people would be proud to hear/read that they made a difference. Great idea.
