If you had just six words to tell your life story, or even a small part of it, what would they be?
This is a “six word memoir” I wrote awhile back:
I wanted revenge. Karma was better.
Believe me, it was.
So what’s your story? Do you have six words to share?
Thanks for following my site http://www.soulinthecityblog.com My life in six words: Always healing, growing and taking risks

Hi ‘Espirational’! Thanks so much for visiting my new blog, I hope you enjoyed it. I’m so glad you found me because here I am visiting your blog and it is wonderful, so unique and uplifting 🙂 Love everyone’s comments. What an ‘inspirational’ idea for a blog, really gets people thinking. I hope you will visit me again and I look forward to following you and receiving your daily ‘Espirations’.
Meanwhile, my life story in 6 little words would have to be:
“God’s mercies are new every morning”.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment and following. I love the cat stories on your blog. Love your life in six words!
Total forgiveness will set me free!
Good, good, good, good, good one!
I have two words: “Rollercoaster”, wouldn’t have it any other way.
My life’s been a little bit like that too. 🙂 Thanks for the comment, you made me smile.
Love, touch, smell, taste, see, hear
I love that! Thanks for leaving a comment and for following. You got over here fast, I just left your blog.
Tempo, rhythm, sometimes fast-sometimes slow
First thanks for visiting my site and liking my posts! This is the first quote I came up with about 3 years ago…My 6 words “On this journey possibilities are endless”
Great 6 words Richard and your life is definitely living proof. Thanks so much for stopping by.
You’re welcome!
Thanks for liking my Labyrinth post! Browsing around your site…my six words are (and also my motto for 2013):
(The) harder I work, (the) luckier I get!
Thanks for the challenge…
Life is an inspiring journey of endurance…sorry it’s 7!
It’s not impossible. Go for it!
I love that!
I thought about your 6 word memoir, but I could only do 5. “My faith has saved me.” But it will be something that I will continue to ponder. Thanks for stopping by and liking my post “Quiet Street for Solitary Walk”.
No regrets. No more missed opportunities!
We have so many opportunities to help others and many times we let them pass on by… This exercise is a fun way to look at life. Thank you. Take care!
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. Love your six words. Something for us all to think about and act on.
Trust, pray, from brokenness into healing.
What about seven words? (My tagline):
Keeping it Real and getting it wrong!
Like it!
Introvert with life repeatedly flowing outward.
I can relate to that one. Thanks for stopping by.
By taking Actions I created Reality!
You have to know I would like that. Great!
I tried, I failed, I changed.
Good one!
Never walked away from a challenge!
Six words for my life – smiles
Thank you Martin. I enjoy your poetry.
Thank you 🙂
If only I had done more
No more bread? Found a way.
Oh I like that one! We’ve found we actually like the non-bread options better.
I thought I couldn’t. Was wrong!
Thank you! I’ve been learning that one almost every day lately.
Looking for positivity everywhere I go.
I love the six-word memoir exercise. It really gets the juices flowing.
I actually have an upcoming post along this same line. Hope you tune in that day!!
I like that. I’ll keep an eye out for your post.
Great. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Born a child – Reborn a Christian
A testimony in 6 words. Great!
I love this! I need to think about my own 6-word story. What a great idea!
I discovered the idea at the back of the AARP magazine. It wasn’t too difficult but did take a little word manipulation to get it down six. Hope you try it.
Was blind but now I see… or maybe not. I’ll have to give this some thought. Great catalyst for reflection!
I like that. The possibilities are really endless.
Born into hell grace pulled me out.
That’s a good story to have, isn’t it?
I suppose so although ” I was born into Heaven and nothing has gone wrong, everything was beautiful and nothing hurt” would be the story I would have prefered. LOL.
Also I realised (instead of sleeping one night) my story had 7 instead of 6 words.
I tried to think of two words for “pulled me out” but haven’t managed to find anything with the same impact. Then I stumbled across psalm 40:2
“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”
OK it is also more than 6. But this is God right! He isn’t a pedant or a perfectionist like I am. He he doesn’t have to be because he is already perfect. LOL again.
Your blog is fun and thought provoking.
