“To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.” — Buddha
“Remember that happiness is as contagious as gloom. It should be the first duty of those who are happy to let others know of their gladness.” — Maurice Maeterlinck
“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn!
Look to this Day!
For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the
Verities and Realities of your Existence.
The Bliss of Growth,
The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived makes
Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!
Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!” — Kalidasa
“Life’s too short to just use one color of green.” — Dee Greuning
When you think of “green” does one particular color come to mind? There are many different shades and gradations of green. Why limit ourselves to just one?
This applies to more than just color. We leave most of the world unexplored because we become comfortable with the familiar. Life is too short to get stuck in comfortable ruts. Have fun and shake things up. Use a different color of green, try a new vegetable, create a new recipe, read a new book, think a new thought, go in a different direction, embrace life in all it’s fullness and lighten up.

“Dreams come true; without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.” ~John Updike
