The Friday Affirmation

I affirm and encourage others, as I do myself.

Darkest Night Will End

“Remember that even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise, and, with it, a new day.” –Victor Hugo

Love Covers the Earth

Love spreads so wide that it covers the face of the earth, and it is endless in the universe. Charlena E. Jackson

Today is Valentine’s Day when we usually focus on romantic love. And I would never put down romantic love. I am still crazy about my sweetie even after 31 years. But we live in times where the world needs more love and less hate, more understanding and less judgement and more peace and less fighting.

We have the power to stop the craziness and turn things around. It all begins with love. If one by one we chose to live love and be love we will see love spread “so wide that it covers the face of the earth, and it is endless in the universe.

Never Too Old

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”— Malala Yousafzai

The Sun Will Rise

“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.”
― Victor Hugo

Turn on the Light

“Light must come from inside. You cannot ask the darkness to leave; you must turn on the light.” — Sogyal Rinpoche

You Don’t Always Need a Plan

“You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens.” — Mandy Hale

I don’r usually add to things after they have posted but I am makng an exception here. I am a big planner. I mean some of my plans are exquisite. Down to the last detail. But we all know the best laid plans often go awry. And when other people get involved we can lose control altogether, right?

I have struggled with this most of my life, and still do. But life’s too short to spend trying to plan everything down to the last detail. So today I’m going to just “breathe, trust, let go and see what happens.”

The Friday Affirmation

I hold community for others, and am held in community by others.

I Came to Live Out Loud

If you ask me what I came into this life to do, I will tell you: I came to live out loud. – Emile Zola

So what is living out loud? To me living out loud means not being afraid to express our true identity. This means being comfortable in our own skin and personality. We live in a world where all of our gifts, abilities and light are needed. I came to live out loud. What about you?

Be the Light That Helps Others See

“Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
