The world often sees rebels and renegades as groups of violent, angry people attempting to over throw the government or current social conventions or norms. Look the words up in the dictionary and that is pretty much what you will find.
But I would like to suggest that we can be rebels or renegades by simply being as the Bible says, “in the world but not of they world.” When we reject the worldly fight for power and wealth at all costs and live simple lives of peace, love and joy the world might see as a dangerous rebels and renegades. Or they might simply ignore us as those crazy people who don’t understand that we have to fight for what we want. But we are following Jesus. Let us follow and let us stand.
