Our first summer here I was very diligent about getting up for sunrise. Last year, not so much. Flooding in the area where I normally walk prevented getting the shots of sunrise of the lake I love so much. Then as the weather got colder I moved my morning routine inside and began the day with yoga.
Today I decided to go outside while it was still cool and took the camera along. It was cloudy so I pretty much gave up on getting good photos. Until I walked down the end of the dog walking path and turned around to come back. Then I saw an amazing sight. The sun reflecting off the clouds. While not the spectacular sunrises I love to capture, it was beautiful in it’s own way.
I’ll leave it to you to find the lesson in this one. It is there, but it might be different for you than it was for me.
Here are some of the photos for you to enjoy while you figure it out.
Not every statement of beauty must be overwhelming; instead, sometimes, it simply whispers to the soul, “Peace, be still.”
