We finally have flowers on our patio. I decided we just wouldn’t have flowers this year because extremely strange weather conditions made the availability of annuals late.
There have been other years I have decided not plant flowers, like the years when residents above us kept dropping cigarette butts and sometimes lit cigarettes on our patio. There was also the occasional beerfall from heaven.
However, every year Bob convinces me not to give in to circumstances and I plant the flowers. They serve as a reminder of how easily a few flowers can transform a broken slab of concrete into a garden and a positive thought can transform a world of negativity.

Flowers are wonderful. We are going into winter, I won’t see flowers for a while.

It would be sad if you didn’t plant some flowers on your patio. It would be bare like winter…but hot.

Thanks for stopping by Suzanne. I agree, flowers can be uplifting. We live next to the front door and people actually thank us for putting out the flowers so they must think so too.

We don’t have a garden, but we do have a lot of pots full of beautiful coloured flowers. They certainly brighten the place up.

So true, Rogene. I love my flowers in the summer. And while it takes more time to care for them, they are so giving and delightful!
