I still love watching reruns of The Joy of Painting with the late Bob Ross on PBS. Bob was not only a painter and teacher, he was also a philosopher and nature lover. One of his favorite sayings was, “There are no mistakes, just happy accidents.“
Learning anything new becomes overwhelming if you are afraid of making mistakes. Making what at first seems like a mistake may actually turn out better than what you intended. Look for them and you will learn to love those “happy accidents.”
Happy accidents are the best opportunities to learn new things, and discover what works and what doesn’t.

I love Bob Ross! It seems like such a simple notion, but really, it’s so true. We need to try to grow from things that happen (whether they are good or bad.)
