“I truly believe that if we keep telling the Christmas story, singing the Christmas songs, and living the Christmas spirit, we can bring joy, happiness and peace to the world.” — Norman Vincent Peale

Let There be Light
Let There be Light

“It is the one season of the year when we can lay aside all gnawing worry, indulge in sentiment without censure, assume the carefree faith of childhood, and just plain “have fun.”  Whether they call it Yuletide, Noel, Weinachten, or Christmas, people around the earth thirst for its refreshment as the desert traveler for the oasis.” — D.D. Moore

ContinueChristmas

This came in my e-mail this morning and I wanted to share it with you.  I was thinking about writing something along these lines, but Neale says it so beautifully.

This is the great promise of God: that the happiness
that filled so many hearts yesterday will fill even more
lives tomorrow. And that peace and joy. which is
Christmas, will reign forever — and is available to
every soul, now and always.
These are glad tidings. This is the good news: that
Christ is born every day, as us, and that God lives
in each person through eternity. It does not matter
what religion you belong to. Love is the only religion.
So…Continue Christmas.
-Neale Donald Walsch

Thought for Today

“I sometimes think we expect too much of Christmas Day. We try to crowd into it the long arrears of kindliness and humanity of the whole year. As for me, I like to take my Christmas a little at a time, all through the year. And thus I drift along into the holidays-let them overtake me unexpectedly-waking up some fine morning and suddenly saying to myself: “Why this is Christmas Day!””

“It is Christmas time, a halting of hate time. On this platform of peace, we can create a language to translate ourselves to ourselves and to each other”. – excerpt from “Amazing Peace: A Christmas Poem” By Dr. Maya Angelou

Thought for Today

“To attain inner peace you must actually give your life, not just your possessions. When you at last give your life – bringing into alignment your beliefs and the way you live then, and only then, can you begin to find inner peace.” — Peace Pilgrim
