Approaching the age of 70 and caring for a very unable husband I am certainly learning to let go of all I used to enjoy ~ meals out, holidays, friends, social outings, walks together, shopping together etc etc. I do everything alone now and it hurts so badly that I’d rather do nothing but stay in the house.
Sorry to be negative but I am finding today VERY hard.

I am so sorry. Don’t worry about being “negative.” No one is positive all the time. Life can be hard. I am praying for you and surrounding you with the white light of God’s love and protection. Life with an ailing spouse can be so difficult. In the years since Bob started losing his eyesight I have experienced loneliness and exhaustion in ways I never imagined.
I don’t have any words of wisdom — just take care of yourself and know there are people who care about you.
