Cleaning really isn’t one of my favorite activities, but it is necessary. It is needed to have a clean, neat place to live physically as well as spiritually. When Bob sees me cleaning on my own off our weekly schedule he leaves me alone because he knows I am trying to work something out. Sometimes I also clean house to try to get past a creative block.
Many people do something called “Spring cleaning.” This is a deep cleaning done after winter. This is when I like to wash curtains, bedding and clean the carpeting.
But this is also a good time for a little spiritual spring cleaning. Spending time in prayer and meditation, letting go of those things which no longer serve our higher good is a natural way to enter this time of new beginnings we call Spring.
