So true and serendipitous for me. I was actually just thinking about how much I had learnt from the recent course I ran. I t was called “mending is better than ending” I loved it because I believe it is true in 99.9 % of cases and hope to gently turn the tide away from the throw away mentality and towards valuing and being grateful for what we have. Love your website. : )

I’ve thought that class sounded really interesting and much needed. I know many people do not have the basic sewing skills to do simple mending. I joke that we wear our clothes till even the homeless don’t want them. Then I cut off buttons and any trims I might want to reuse and turn the fabric into cleaning rags. Keep up the good work. Isn’t it amazing how much you learn when you teach?
