“Be the light in the dark, be the calm in the storm and be at peace while at war.” — Mike Dolan
I still love watching reruns of The Joy of Painting with the late Bob Ross on PBS. Bob was not only a painter and teacher, he was also a philosopher and nature lover. One of his favorite sayings was, “There are no mistakes, just happy accidents.“
Learning anything new becomes overwhelming if you are afraid of making mistakes. Making what at first seems like a mistake may actually turn out better than what you intended. Look for them and you will learn to love those “happy accidents.”
“We all live under the same sky, but we don’t all have the same horizon.” — Konrad Adenauer
“I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.” — Mahatma Gandhi
If you need a reason to smile this U-Tube video will give you one. I not only smiled, I laughed so hard Bob came in from the other room to see what was so funny. Be sure your speakers are on, then sit back and enjoy.
“Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.” — Helen Keller
“Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known.” — Garrison Keillor
